This Christmas, Covella’s Giving Tree has also returned collecting food and essential items to support the Property Industry Foundation and BABI Youth and Family Service.
‘Christmas is a time to come together as a community, not just to celebrate, but to support those in need and the Giving Tree is a very special part of this event, bringing joy to those doing it tough,’ Mr Harper says.
Donations can be dropped off at the Covella Sales and Information Centre before Sunday, 14 December and suggested donations include non-perishable items such as cereal, jams and spreads, long-life milk, body wash, shampoo and conditioner, Christmas treats and gift cards for fresh produce.
Attendees of the Christmas Carols by Candlelight event can also look forward to the announcement of the winner of the coveted Christmas Lights Competition, with $3,250 in Prezzee gift cards to be won across 3 categories – Judge’s Choice, People’s Choice and Runner Up. Entries close Thursday, 11 December and voting for People’s Choice will take place from 12 to 14 December.
