Food lovers to let loose at LSKD

Foodie vibes boost street cred at LSKD HQ

Food and music lovers will let loose next week with a massive carpark party at one of the City of Logan’s most popular clothing outlets.

The popular LSKD sportswear store at Loganholme will host Eats & Beats on Friday, June 24, from 5pm until 9pm.

More than 20 food trucks and live music will entertain the crowds outside, while inside the LSKD store, sportswear lovers will make the most of extended shopping hours.

Five per cent of all LSKD sales on the evening will be donated to Cystic Fibrosis Queensland.

City Lifestyle Chair Councillor Laurie Koranski said the family-oriented event was an ideal way to kick off the school holidays.

“There really is something for everyone at Eats & Beats, and we are expecting to see families out celebrating the end of the school term next Friday night,” Cr Koranski said.

“This event attracts thousands of food and music lovers wherever it is held, with upbeat live music and a wide range of delicious dinners, desserts and drinks on offer.

“Council is excited to be partnering with LSKD to offer our community another unique Eats & Beats experience.”

Division 10 Councillor Miriam Stemp said next week’s Eats & Beats would be a one-of-a-kind event.

“We can’t wait to welcome Eats & Beats regulars, and new attendees, to Loganholme for an exciting night out,” Cr Stemp said.

“This event features not only great food and music but also a chance to stay and shop later than normal at the popular LSKD store.

“Importantly, it is also an opportunity for us to dig deep in support of those living with cystic fibrosis.”

LSKD founder and CEO Jason Daniel said the business had received great support from the City of Logan community since opening in Loganholme in January.

He said his business and staff are keen to give back with a great event.

“To be able to have our retail store here has just been phenomenal, it definitely exceeded our expectations,” Mr Daniel said.

“I’ve been envisioning this event here for almost two years … when we signed off this office (in September 2020) I thought this would be the perfect space to partner with Eats & Beats.”

Mr Daniel said his business had been a long-time supporter of those living with cystic fibrosis, providing not just funding but also gym equipment for local hospital patients through Cystic Fibrosis Queensland.

“My cousin has cystic fibrosis… seeing him go through (it), where he was in hospital for two weeks at a time, we wanted to raise money to help,” Mr Daniel said.
