"Top shops" get a makeover

An exciting transformation is under way on a popular street corner in Division 3.

Brough Place, located at the Daisy Hill “top shops”, is getting a new look.

Councillor Mindy Russell says the park is important to local business owners, families and visitors to Daisy Hill.

“Spaces like Brough Place are important because they encourage people to pause and enjoy our great locally-owned businesses nearby,” Cr Russell says.

“Visitors can stop for fish and chips before going to Daisy Hill Conservation Park. Families can indulge on dessert night or meet up for coffee in the park after dropping
the kids at school.

“Local businesses told me how the park can be best used to improve their business and highlight our beautiful area.”

The upgrade includes new picnic settings, bins, footpaths and landscaping.

Daisy Hill State School students will collaborate on the project by helping decorate the park.
