Safety first in footpath upgrades

Two and 4-legged pedestrians will benefit from new and repaired footpaths across Division 3.

New stretches are planned for Epson Court and Eveleigh Street, Daisy Hill, as well as Kimberley Drive at Shailer Park.

Lowry Street and Carribean Drive at Slacks Creek will also get new paths.

Division 3 Councillor Mindy Russell says it is important that residents can move around their neighbourhoods easily and safely.

‘This work will help people enjoy their neighbourhood by reducing the likelihood that someone out walking or jogging takes a tumble on a bumpy nature strip,’ Cr Russell says.

Shailer Park resident Leah King welcomes the work.

‘A lot of people like to walk around here with their kids and dogs, especially with all the parks in the area,’ Leah says
