How to donate this Christmas 2025 in Logan

For many, Christmas isn’t automatically merry: for those struggling with loneliness, financial issues, health problems and more, this time of joy can seem to amplify difficult issues.

Luckily, in Logan there is a huge number of ways to give back, and make things easier for those doing it tough in our community.

We’ve linked some of the organisations with meaningful Christmas appeals underway that you can help with – and spread some more joy this festive season.

Logan City Council and Salvation Army: This Christmas 2025 marks the 22nd year that Logan City Council is inviting people to drop off donations for the annual Salvation Army Christmas Appeal. Drop gifts by 2 December at the Christmas tree at the City Administration Centre at 150 Wembley Road, Logan Central, located in the reception area outside the ‘People and Culture’ branch on South Level 1, just past the entry foyer to the main building. Donations of new toys, gift vouchers, toiletries, books, clothing, non-perishable food items, and other thoughtful gifts will be appreciated. This year, they are especially looking for gifts for teenagers. Please leave the gifts unwrapped. Or visit here for more details to help the Salvo’s Christmas Appeal 2025.

Touch of Hope: For 2025 Touch of Hope is holding a Christmas Gift Appeal for children aged up to 12 years, a Christmas Bubble Wand Drive to add extra fun to children’s hampers, and a Christmas Food Appeal to collect non-perishable items to add comfort and dignity to someone’s Christmas table. Donations can be dropped off at Marsden and Shailer Park by the end of November – see the Facebook page for more details or phone 0414 987 563.

Logan Chamber of CommerceJoin the business community at its annual Christmas Toy Drive event. This year it’s a Business Breakfast on Wednesday, 3 December 2025, hosted at IKEA Slacks Creek. Just bring a children’s gift, unwrapped or in an open bag, which will be distributed on Christmas Day thanks to Logan Emergency Services.

Lighthouse Care: Make Christmas special for many families by donating to the Lighthouse Care Christmas Appeal 2025, which includes providing free food to families doing it tough through their Hampers of Hope initiative. Choose from a cash donation for Santa’s Little Helper Gift Sponsorship, Lighthouse Hampers of Hope, or get in touch to volunteer.

Logan East Community Neighbourhood Association: Your donations of food, clothes, toys and more will help this group put together 300 much-appreciated hampers for local families. Drop off your donations by 4 December to the Association’s headquarters at 55 Cinderella Drive in Springwood, or the collection basket at Planet Fitness in Springwood at Arndale Shopping Centre, or a collection cage at Chatswood Central Shopping Centre outside Woolworths, in Springwood.

Star Community Services: Become a Secret Santa this year for an elderly person who is spending Christmas alone this season. For many seniors, this gift is the only thing they receive this year and is always deeply appreciated. See all the Logan drop-off locations for the Secret Santa 2025 Appeal here.

Defenders for Hope: The annual Christmas gift program allows the charity to purchase presents for children who are in shelters or foster care this Christmas. For 2025 they have teamed up with REMAX Property Professionals so donations for a Toy Drive can be dropped off at the Christmas tree at REMAX Flagstone office until 20 December. Brand new toys for babies to 18-year-olds please. Each present will be wrapped beautifully by the Defenders For Hope team with ribbon and a handmade card by a school or child.

5Fold and Dunamis Church Yarrabilba: Bring joy and relief to those in the Yarrabilba and Logan Village communities by donating to this Christmas Appeal 2025 here. The aim is to assist 250 local families and let them know they are not alone if they are struggling, and they are supported by a community that cares.

Kids4Kids Foundation: The group will be channelling Christmas cheer to local school children next year with funds raised from their Kids4Kids Christmas Gift Wrapping Station at the Logan Hyperdome in Loganholme, outside TK Maxx and Toymate between 29 November and 24 December. They will be wrapping purchased gifts for donations to their Big Giving Day in January – helping kids start the school year with backpacks and school essentials.

Impact Care Services: Hamper and Christmas gift donations are being accepted at Impact, 3357 Pacific Highway, Slacks Creek, and Caddies Community Centre, 19-33 South Street, Jimboomba. Pick up for larger quantities can be arranged by phoning 5616 2170. There is a preference for food shelf products rather than fridge or freezer food. For gifts, toys suitable for both boys and girls are preferred, and they don’t need to be wrapped, but if so, then please label them with an approximate age and what it is most suitable for – male, female, or unisex.

Beenleigh Neighbourhood Centre: New gifts for boys and girls aged from babies to 16 years can be donated for handing out by a local Santa at the Beenleigh Neighbourhood Centre’s Community Christmas Party. All toys (please no second-hand items or toy weapons) will be wrapped by the centre’s team, and can be dropped off by 29 November at the Centre, 10-12 James Street, Beenleigh.

Bethania Community Centre: The Bethania Community Centre has teamed up with another local charity,  Formally Ever After, to put together Christmas hampers this year for families who may be struggling financially. If you can contribute, contact the team on 3805 2687.
