Meeting the challenges of our booming community

Logan Reserve, Chambers Flat and Park Ridge are 3 of the biggest growth suburbs in Queensland.

Division 8 Councillor Jacob Heremaia says it is important to invest in essential infrastructure to keep pace with this rapid growth.

‘More houses are going up and more families are moving into our area than anywhere else across the City of Logan,’ Cr Heremaia says. ‘There will be a lot of work going on across Division 8 over the next 12 months to ensure we continue to manage any challenges this growth may create.’

Division 8 projects that have been allocated funding include:

  • $2 million for Logan Reserve Metro Sports
  • $1.5 million for Flindersia Riverside Park
  • $200,000 from the City Beautification Fund to refresh cityscapes
  • Two new safety cameras (one mobile, one covert)> Exploring options to expand Hubner Park
  • Ongoing support for our 21 Habitat Connections and 18 Land for Wildlife members
