Flame fires up new menu of foodie dreams
Things are certainly heating up at Jimboomba Park as Division 9 gets ready for a second serve of flame-grilled goodness.
The 14-acre venue will host thousands of meat and music lovers in September, when Logan City Council’s Flame BBQ Street Festival returns.
More than 18,000 people attended Jimboomba’s first Flame festival on Cusack Lane in 2022.
Deputy Mayor and Division 9 Councillor Scott Bannan says the large new location means this year’s event will be even bigger, better and tastier than the inaugural festival.
‘Flame set Cusack Lane on fire in 2022, with 3 times the crowd we expected turning up for a taste,’ Cr Bannan says.
‘Everyone wanted another bite, so that’s what we’re delivering this year – but with more fun, more flavour and more for the whole family to do. It’s been a long time between drinks, but it will be worth the wait.’
Carnivores will be spoilt for choice with an array of smoked, grilled, roasted and slow-cooked cuts set to tempt tastebuds.
Roving entertainers and flame throwers will serve up some thrills, while a stellar line-up of rock and country music acts will keep festival-goers grooving.
Flame BBQ Street Festival kicks off at 3 pm Saturday, 21 September.
