Volunteers thrive with strength in numbers
It is said that ‘many hands make light work’ and that’s certainly the case when it comes to volunteering in your local community.
As Flagstone and the Division continues to grow, so too does the number of community-based charity, service and sporting organisations.
Division 11 Councillor Natalie Willcocks says these groups are a key part of living in Flagstone, and the Division in general, and provide vital support to residents, sometimes on a daily basis.
They include the Flagstone Community Association, Flagstone Blokes, Men’s Shed, the P&Cs at both local schools, Wildlife Care groups, Flagstone Tigers Rugby League and Flagstone Netball, just to name a few.
‘They all provide different but essential contributions that benefit us all,’ Cr Willcocks says.
‘But please remember that together we are stronger.
‘If you wish to know more about any of these groups, or want to get involved, please send me an email and I will pass on your details for them to make contact.’
