Funding helps local community activities
Community organisations, schools and clubs based in Division 3 looking for a flying start to 2026 might consider applying for financial assistance from Logan City Council’s Community Benefit Fund (CBF).
The CBF is a discretionary fund that allows Councillors to support eligible community organisations for a community purpose.
This financial year, each Councillor has $19,931.96 to allocate.
Division 3 Councillor Mindy Russell says those eligible to apply for CBF support include not-for-profit community organisations, school P&Cs, Neighbourhood Watch groups, religious institutions, welfare groups and community sporting clubs.
Applications are open until 30 April each year or until divisional funds are expended.
Recent successful Division 3 CBF applicants include:
- Mabel Park State School (Activities for graduating students)
- Hope Centre (Christmas luncheon)
- Tokelau community (Venue hire for a cultural event)
- Learn-A-Craft (Bus hire and morning tea for a community outing)
- Daisy Hill Neighbourhood Watch (Venue hire for crime prevention talk, family-safe Halloween)
- Rochedale-Springwood National Seniors (Christmas function)
‘I urge anyone who is interested, or think they may be eligible, to contact me prior to lodging an application,’ Cr Russell says.
