Helping our sports clubs is a win for everyone
For many residents, sports clubs are the heartbeat of active local lifestyles.
Division 7 Councillor Tim Frazer is a proud supporter of the many and varied clubs that call our suburbs home.
‘It is important that we strive to lead active and healthy lifestyles,’ Cr Frazer says.
‘Logan City Council supports this by making available a range of free and low-cost programs for residents along with funding for schools, sporting clubs and community organisations.

Browns Plains Mets Rugby Union Club this season received a boost from Council’s Community Benefit Fund (CBF), which helped cover the cost of new tackle pads and mats.
Club official Denise Waerea says the club is extremely grateful for the support of Council and Cr Frazer.
‘Your incredible support keeps our rugby community strong and connected,’ Denise says.
‘The new tackle pads and mats made a huge difference and helped our players train safely, build confidence and develop their skills.’

Cr Frazer has also supported local sporting clubs through the Division 7 Local Infrastructure Program.

- Browns Plains Bears RLFC (boundary fence)
- Southern Stars Baseball Club (lighting, batting cages, car park signage)
- Logan City Bears AFC (clubhouse air conditioning, pathways and fencing)
- Southern Districts United FC (field expansion)
- Waller Park BMX (track upgrade and lighting)
