Dami brings back smiles

Dami Im Eats & Beats will bring back City’s smiles

International singing sensation Dami Im will give City of Logan residents a reason to smile again this Friday night (March 18).

The Daisy Hill raised songstress will headline the City’s rescheduled Eats & Beats, which kicks off at the Kingston Butter Factory Cultural Precinct from 5pm.

The free community event, which was postponed ahead of the recent flood emergency, will also feature City of Logan favourite, singer Zeek Power.

Lifestyle Chair Councillor Laurie Koranski said residents deserved a chance to relax after an immensely challenging period.

“Our community has shown incredible resilience and fortitude as we have faced this unprecedented flooding emergency together,” Cr Koranski said.

“While we still have a long way to go, it is important that we continue to celebrate and enjoy our great local community.

“I encourage everyone who is able, to come along and enjoy a night out at our fantastic new Kingston Butter Factory precinct.”

More than 20 food trucks including favourites such as Rustic Pastel, Jungle Bean, Twisted Tasty Tatoes and Bao Time will be at the event for dinner and dessert.

Eats & Beats is a free community event, but attendees are required to register via the Logan Arts website.

Free tickets reserved for the original event on February 25 will be honoured on Friday night.

Ticket holders are also entitled to free travel to and from the Kingston Butter Factory (Kingston station) on Queensland Rail services. Timetables can be viewed at translink.com.au

Attendees over 16 years are required to be fully vaccinated.

More information is available on the Eats & Beats Facebook page.
