Treasure, trash and everything in between at Logan Recycling Markets

You’ll find everything imaginable – including the kitchen sink – at the Logan Recycling Markets, held from Friday to Monday every week in Heritage Park.

Logan local Louise Wheatley is a keen shopper, and Logan Recycling Markets is one place where she can always guarantee a bargain.

‘There’s just so much here. You can find some really great buys every time,’ she says.

‘My children like it here too. We recently bought some toys for my son to take apart so he could make a go kart, and we were often here when the kids were younger for “for trikes, bikes and all sorts of other toys.’

The popular markets are made up of secondhand goods which may otherwise end up in landfill – and regularly have long queues prior to opening.

‘It’s often like the Boxing Day sales because people know that there is really good stuff here for such a good price,’ Louise says.

‘It’s different every time you come here, and there really is an amazing variety of items.’

Stock moves so quickly at the markets that you could go every day and see  an almost entirely new range pf products.

In fact, during her last visit – which was simply to demonstrate how much the markets had to offer – Louise picked up a beautiful little house for her family’s new puppy.

‘It’s hard to leave empty handed,’ she says.
