Bicycle art adds fun to Concorde playground

A Loganholme park that is a somewhat of a local hidden gem has been given an exciting upgrade.

Concorde Park is nestled halfway along Concorde Drive and is linked to Loganholme State School by a walkway under the Logan Motorway.

Division 10 Councillor Miriam Stemp says the park, which is shaded by a leafy canopy thanks to surrounding mature trees, is popular with school students and local families.

The upgrade includes:

  • Multi-purpose playground equipment with soft fall
  • Swings, a group rocker and a climbing frame
  • New drinking fountain

‘As a bit of added fun, we have installed some functional art in the way of bike racks that are shaped like bicycles,’ Cr Stemp says.

New concrete connects the playground to the existing pathway while new park signage has been added.

The upgrade was funded by Logan City Council with support from the Division 10 Local Infrastructure Program.
