Intersection upgrade on the way

Logan City Council has joined forces with Brisbane City Council and the Australian Government to improve conditions for more than 19,000 motorists who
daily use the Rochedale Road and Priestdale Road intersection.

The single-lane roundabout at the intersection forms the boundary between the City of Logan and Brisbane.

Traffic signals will be installed during the joint upgrade to reduce congestion and assist with future traffic demands. There will also be a signalised crossing for pedestrians and cyclists to improve safety and connectivity.

Environmental monitoring devices for air and noise pollution have been installed in the surrounding area ahead of the main construction beginning early next year, weather permitting.

Brisbane City Council is the project manager and will provide updates on its website. Works are expected to be completed by late 2022.
