Eat local for a taste of the world

From fun street food to aspiring fine dining, the local cuisine scene is taking off. Division 3 Councillor Mindy Russell says there’s something for everyone’s tastes and budget across dozens of neighbourhood restaurants and cafes.

‘For many families these days, eating out or getting takeaway is a bit of a treat which is why I recommend supporting local businesses who are all striving to serve their customers something special,’ Cr Russell says.

‘We are lucky to have so many great chefs and cooks who are presenting original and innovative Australian and ethnic dishes that go well beyond the offerings of the prominent fast-food outlets.

‘This list of outlets below is far from definitive and, to be fair to everyone, has been compiled as a guide only, without any specific endorsements.

‘But I’d love to hear from residents about which local eateries are their favourites, as well as letting me know any I may have missed. Bon appetit!’
