Exciting projects planned for new year
The rollout of important works across Division 5 will continue in 2026.
A major highlight will be the completion of the first phase of Waterford West District Park which is scheduled to open late in the year.
As in 2025, a strong focus will again be on road upgrades, concreting missing sections of well-used footpaths and improving park facilities.
Keep an eye out for:
ROADS
- Third Avenue upgrade
- Upgrade of Browns Plains Rd/Waratah Dr/Second Ave intersection
- Bumstead Road resurfacing
- Intersection upgrade at Julie Street and Chambers Flat Road
PARKS
- Multi-sport courts at JJ Smith Park
- Cross-country course upgrade at Judith Park (Park Ridge Pony Club)
OTHER INFRASTRUCTURE
- Dog off-leash area in Bush Tucker Road
- Master plan for Crestmead Park
- New bus stop in Chambers Flat Road
