Improving Woodridge community connections

Forty-three kilograms of sausages, 700 sticks of fairy floss, 450 snow cones and 1,200 Easter eggs.

They’re the numbers of note from a fabulous community event at Woodridge’s Ewing Park on Easter Saturday.

Division 2 Councillor Teresa Lane says more than 1000 people of all ages enjoyed the event.

‘Local parents, carers and grandparents really embraced the opportunity for a fun outing without the worry of affordability,’ Cr Lane says.

‘Families were treated to free train rides with the Logan Model Train Engineers Club, a petting zoo, pony rides and face painting.

‘We really do live in a wonderful community.’

The event was hosted by the LC5 Woodridge Neighbourhood Watch Group, with support from local businesses, Mayor Jon Raven, Cr Lane, Federal Member for Rankin and Treasurer Jim Chalmers, and State Member for Woodridge and Treasurer Cameron Dick.
