Local garage in top gear

The hubs are locked and the car is in park at the Wheelnutz Garage in Meadowbrook.

The one-of-a-kind automotive garage has gone from strength to strength since opening in 2021.

Wheelnutz Garage supports people with a disability to learn automotive skills while developing friendships and building their capacity for future employment and independence.

The organisation was recently recognised in this year’s Logan Urban Design Awards (LUDA).

The garage received a commendation in the Business, Programs and Events award section.

Division 6 Councillor Tony Hall is proud to have Wheelnutz Garage call Meadowbrook home.

‘It’s fantastic to see what the team at Wheelnutz Garage has already achieved in such a short time,’ Cr Hall says.

‘Those at Wheelnutz say that it’s more than a job to them, and it really shows in the care and consideration they share with every participant.

‘Their recent recognition at LUDA is just the cherry on top of what is already a brilliant program, and I know Wheelnutz Garage will continue to flourish and grow.’
