Football club makeover a win for everyone

The Logan Lightning Football Club at Chris Green Park is scoring a major $4.8 million makeover, thanks to the Australian Government’s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program and Department of Health Female Facility and Water Safety Stream.

The upgrades – also funded through the Division 12 Local Infrastructure Program – are a win for the sports club, which is one of the largest in Logan with close to 1,000 members.

The new clubhouse will feature a clubroom, change rooms, outdoor viewing areas, a canteen, referees’ room and spectactor facilities.

The project is due for completion by the end of June. Council has also recently completed a lighting upgrade on Field 1, funded through the Sports Facility program.
