Kids can flock to new Eagleby playground

The new Eagleby Wetlands play area will immerse children in nature, surrounded by towering trees and tweeting birds.

Located near the entrance to the walking track, the play area draws inspiration from the Latham’s Snipe – a near-threatened bird species that uses Eagleby Wetlands as nesting grounds.

Kids can explore the ‘nest mound’, which features a tunnel along with sandstone and timber steps, or ring the giant chimes that represent the songs and sounds of the wetlands.

Other features include a timber log balance beam, sandpit area and rope climbing equipment.

The play area not only showcases the area’s biological diversity, but also promotes the discovery of nature.
