Our fantastic new pool is quickly taking shape
It was all smiles from Division 12 Councillor Karen Murphy after a recent site visit to the Beenleigh Aquatic Centre upgrade project.
‘Everyone on site was working tirelessly as they build what will be an amazing facility,’ Cr Murphy says.
The 50-metre pool’s concrete floor has been poured and the walls are being formed as Logan City Council and its contractors create a state-of-the-art aquatic hub.
‘Work on the administration building was also well on the way while the footings were being laid for the multipurpose building, which will deliver spaces that cater to diverse needs,’ Cr Murphy says.
Cr Murphy has also announced that local artists have been engaged to design original artwork that will be displayed throughout the facility.
‘This collaboration not only highlights the incredible talent within the community but also ensures that the facility reflects the identity and spirit of the region,’ she says.
‘These artistic contributions will make the Beenleigh Aquatic Centre not just a place of recreation for residents and visitors, but also a celebration of Logan’s creative culture.’

The project includes:
- a 50-metre heated pool
- children’s water play area
- shaded seating, changerooms and multipurpose rooms
- kiosk
- accessible and family friendly amenities and carpark
The project is scheduled for completion later this year.
