Safety cameras reinforce zero tolerance for crime

New CCTV cameras at 6 key locations across Division 7 are helping to enhance safety for residents and neighbourhoods.

Safety camera infrastructure has been installed at:

  • Silvertop Park, Hillcrest
  • Eastern Road Pathway, Regents Park
  • 100 Vansittart Road, Regents Park
  • Corner of Estramina Road and Vansittart Road, Regents Park
  • Corner of Browns Plains Road and Wembley Road, Browns Plains
  • Fleet Park, Browns Plains

Division 7 Councillor Tim Frazer says 3 of the cameras were funded by the Division 7 Local Infrastructure Program.

The other cameras were funded by an Australian Government ‘Investing in our Communities’ grant.

‘The cameras are monitored 24/7 by expert staff in Logan City Council’s Safety Camera Monitoring Room, who work closely with the Queensland Police Service,’ Cr Frazer says.

‘We have zero tolerance for crime in Division 7 and this funding investment for more safety cameras is money well-spent for the entire community.’
