Safety improvements for main intersection

Work is underway on the upgrade of a local intersection.

The works on Bumstead Road, Park Ridge, and Julie Street, Crestmead, will involve the installation of new traffic lights, a signalised pedestrian crossing and a raised pedestrian crossing.

Division 8 Councillor Jacob Heremaia says he is looking forward to seeing the intersection upgraded.

‘These works will deliver a safer intersection for pedestrians and motorists travelling from Division 8,’ Cr Heremaia says.

‘The project will also include the installation of on-road bike lanes, the upgrade of storm water drainage and the resurfacing and restoration of the roadways.’

These works are being delivered with the support of the Australian Government’s Black Spot Program.

Cr Heremaia says residents will be kept up to date with the progress of the works.
