Signs are good for welcoming Berrinba

Let there be no doubt anymore … new signage finally indicates you are now entering Berrinba.

Suburban name signs were installed across the city many years ago.

However, the one for Berrinba in the heart of Division 5 was removed during road construction and somehow was never replaced.

Division 5 Councillor Paul Jackson has rectified that twice over.

Two Berrinba signs have now been installed.

Their locations are near the intersection of Anderson Street and Freshwater Drive, and at Fifth Avenue and Browns Plains Road.

‘The signs are entry statements to a suburb that is an important part of our division and city,’ Cr Jackson says.

‘I hope the signs also instil a sense of pride among Berrinba residents while helping visitors know where they are, particularly with the popularity of the Berrinba Wetlands as a destination for sightseeing and recreation purposes.’
