Therapy resources available from The Games Library

Fun with a mission is the aim of a new social enterprise at Underwood.

Division 3 Councillor Mindy Russell was pleased to be part of the official opening of The Games Library.

Run by Inclusive Supports, The Games Library is the brainchild of Lee-Anne Nelson of LG Speech Pathology Clinic.

It provides resources to support people in speech therapy sessions.

Cr Russell says The Games Library also offers employment to young people with disability and helps them learn valuable new skills.

People can go online to borrow Ms Nelson’s many card games, books, toys, literacy and numeracy kits and traditional board games and have them delivered for a small fee within the City of Logan.

Inclusive Supports Program Facilitator Loralea Travis says the space is run by neurodiverse young adults to provide opportunities for socialisation and interaction and help those who are non-verbal.

The Games Library is open on Thursdays only, at 4/1 Welch Street, Underwood, from 9 am to 3 pm.
