Time to turn over new leaf

Many happy memories have been made at Jimboomba’s Rotary Park, but there’s always room to make more.

Council is seeking the community’s ideas on how to make the popular park even better for local families.

The park, constructed in 1991 by the Rotary Club of Jimboomba, features public barbecues, toilets, shaded seating and a large children’s playground including a wheelchair accessible swing.

Division 9 Councillor Scott Bannan says it is now time for the park’s next chapter.

‘Rotary Park is ready for a makeover, but we want the community to help us decide what’s needed next,’ Cr Bannan says.

‘We’re talking new lights or more parking, a dog off-leash area, extra shade to kick back and relax in, or even a fitness zone for our gym buffs – anything that could make our park more user-friendly.

‘The survey runs until April 10, so grab a cuppa and give us your thoughts.’

Division 9 residents are also invited to give feedback on their favourite existing features of Rotary Park, to help Council decide what to preserve.

To participate, head to Have Your Say Logan City.
