Wintertime fun on offer at local clubs
As temperatures cool, now is the time to begin planning to join a winter sport.
Division 6 is home to a range of sports that operate during the winter season and many will host try-outs and sign-up days in coming weeks.
Division 6 Councillor Tony Hall says winter is a more pleasant time weather wise to pursue sporting activities.
Cr Hall says Logan City Council proudly supports local sporting clubs and teams.
‘Over the past year we have worked with the Bethania Rams Football Club to deliver a new scoreboard and lights and also installed a new scoreboard at Logan City Hawks Rugby League Club,’ Cr Hall says.
He says Division 6 residents have great choices available when it comes to finding a club to play for or a sport to enjoy.
Local clubs include:
• Bethania Rams Football Club – Oppermann Park, Bethania
• Waterford Rugby League Football Club – Noffke Farm Park, Meadowbrook
• Logan City Hawks Rugby League Club – Leighton Fields, Edens Landing
• The Fight Centre – Meadowbrook
• Paul Hanley Tennis Centre – Loganlea
