Youngsters rewarded for framing park beauty

Two aspiring young photographers in the City of Logan have helped showcase some of Division 7’s most popular parks.

Ella Street, 12, of Hillcrest, and Luke Cirja, 16, of Browns Plains, are the winners of a photograph competition launched last year and sponsored by Division 7 Councillor Tim Frazer.

Entrants, aged 16 and under, were asked to take a photo of their favourite Division 7 park.

Ella’s winning photographic entry was a snap of her dog Toby fetching a stick in the dog off-leash area in Seaton Park in Hillcrest.

She won a $200 gift card and a certificate from Cr Frazer.

Luke showcased one of his favourite places, Forestglen Park, which is only a short walk from his home.

As competition runner-up, Luke won himself a $100 gift card and certificate.
