Library workshops offer tips to ease money woes

A series of workshops hosted by Logan Libraries will highlight tips to help ease financial worries.

City Lifestyle Committee Chair, Councillor Laurie Koranski said the current economic situation was having an impact on many families.

“Through our libraries we are providing free workshops to assist residents during these challenging economic times ,” Cr Koranski said.

“So, please join us in learning some new practical tips from the experts to assist with your budget.

“Our libraries provide a wealth of resources to explore and have considerable resources on offer, I encourage everyone to visit one of our local libraries to discover what’s on offer.”

City Lifestyle Committee Chair Councillor Laurie Koranski talks about Logan Libraries free financial literacy workshops.

A representative from Logan-based not-for-profit organisation YFS Ltd will present the Let’s Talk Money workshops from 6pm to 7pm on Tuesday, February 21 at Beenleigh Library, from 1pm to 2pm on Saturday, February 25 at Marsden Library and from 11am to noon on Friday, March 17 at Logan Central Library.

Participants can learn simple ways to build their budgeting skills, manage their money and make good decisions during tough financial times.
