Logan Listens survey gets underway

Have your say on Council’s performance

As the City of Logan’s population continues to grow, it’s important that services and facilities are delivered to a high standard.

Logan City Council is conducting its two-yearly Logan Listens: Residents’ Survey over the coming weeks to measure its performance in meeting community needs.

Governance Chair, Councillor Karen Murphy, said Council valued feedback from residents on service delivery.

“When the community provides input into what we are doing well – but also not so well – my councillor colleagues and I can determine where best to allocate resources and attention,” Cr Murphy said.

“The Logan Listens survey gives us a unique insight into how satisfied people are with Council and what is provided across the city.”

The 2022 survey will be conducted by Taverner Research Group, with a random selection of people contacted by phone and asked a series of questions.

“The methodology used gives us a reliable cross-section of the community, including people of various ages, genders and locations,” Cr Murphy said.

“We also make the survey available online on our Have Your Say Logan website so we can hear from as many people as possible.”

Council will consider the survey data later this year and report back to the community.

“Our ability to make decisions is only as good as the information we have in front of us, so I encourage people to take the time to answer the questions if phoned, or to complete the online survey,” Cr Murphy said.
