Seniors Big Day Out

Seniors in the spotlight during Big Day Out

Age will be no barrier to fun at the Logan Entertainment Centre (LEC) on Friday, October 7.

Free classes, activities and experiences will entertain hundreds at the Logan Seniors Big Day Out.

Attendees can enjoy relaxing massages, try their hand at virtual reality fishing or get moving at a dance class.

Fans of ‘The King’ can also purchase discounted tickets to Dean Vegas’ upbeat Elvis tribute show, which will light up the LEC stage on the afternoon.

City Lifestyle Chair, Councillor Laurie Koranski, said it was sure to be an action-packed day out.

“As the name suggests, Logan City Council’s annual seniors event will be bigger and better this year, with more to see and do,” Cr Koranski said.

“It will also be an opportunity to learn more about the wonderful social and lifestyle opportunities that exist for seniors in the City of Logan.

“Age and experience is the only ticket you’ll need to this fantastic event.”

Other activities at the Big Day Out include:

  • Paint n Sip sessions
  • Calligraphy and card-making workshops
  • Pedicures
  • Laughing yoga

A variety of food and drink will be on sale, with tastings of selected alcohol-based beverages also on the menu.

The Logan Seniors Big Day Out is from 9am until 3pm. The Logan Entertainment Centre is at 170 Wembley Rd, Logan Central.

More information is available on the Logan Seniors Big Day Out Facebook page.
