Cheap eats for under $10 in City of Logan

If you’re on a budget, have no fear – you only need a tenner to indulge in something tasty at these dining spots in the City of Logan, starting at just $2 for a plate full of food.

From the rich mix of cultures dishing up favourites such as the most authentic curries in town, to homegrown cafes with breakfast classics that can’t be beaten, there’s something for everyone under $10.

IKEA Logan

3539-3565 Pacific Highway, Slacks Creek

If the fabled Swedish meatballs weren’t compelling enough, IKEA Logan now offers a breakfast deal that might just be the best value in town. From 8:30 am to 11 am, you can get a piping-hot breakfast that includes 2 pork sausages, a generous portion of scrambled eggs and a side of baked beans.

Curry Korma

Shop 1/75 Fryar Road, Eagleby

Delicious Indian food doesn’t need to break the bank and Curry Korma confirms that. For just $7.99, you can chow down on a half-portion of butter chicken or paneer butter masala with a half-portion of plain rice. Available Thursday to Monday between 11 am to 4 pm and Tuesday to Wednesday between 4 pm and 9 pm.

Luv a Coffee

Shop 1/11 Main Street, Beenleigh

Start your day off on the right foot – and with a healthy serving of protein – at Luv a Coffee in Beenleigh. You can’t go wrong with the $6.95 breakfast muffin: a toasted and warm muffin with egg, cheese and barbecue sauce.

Crest Bean Cafe

55 Waratah Drive, Crestmead

Nothing cures the blues like a stack of fluffy pancakes, served hot off the grill. Pop by Crest Bean Cafe and order the $8 stack, served with ice cream and maple syrup, for an indulgent start to the day.

Costa’s Takeaway

Smith Road Shopping Village, 153 Smith Road, Woodridge

For those on the go, Costa’s Takeaway grills up fresh, tasty and affordable fare. For $7, you can get a filling chicken burger with a chicken cheese schnitzel, lettuce, tomato and mayo. We’ve also heard good things about the Hawaiian burger, which features a meat patty topped with the likes of pineapple, beetroot and more.

Big Mama’s Bakehouse

Shop 4, 6/10 Yeates Crescent, Meadowbrook

You’ll find plenty of options under $10 at Big Mama’s Bakehouse, such as sandwiches, wraps and its specialty, Vietnamese pork rolls. These are available with a variety of meats and loaded with pate, mayo, spices and chili, along with a divine secret sauce.
