Flagstone 'Excellence' has community celebrating
Celebratory news was heard loud and clear across the Flagstone community recently – local renowned audiologist Sherin Koshy from Hearing Med Audiology was a winner at the Flagstone Favourites Local Business Awards.
Sherin’s business won an award for Excellence in Innovation, as recognition of her pioneering integrated patient care model and advanced diagnostic tools.
With 15 years in the field of audiology, Sherin was celebrated as one of Australia’s leading audiologists, not to mention expanding the business to 4 locations in South East Queensland, including at Jimboomba and Yarrabilba.
Flagstone’s most outstanding businesses were celebrated with the Flagstone Favourites Local Business Awards 2025 gala ceremony held in August for more than 100 guests at the Flagstone Tavern.
Now in its second year, the event recognises dedication, innovation, and community spirit of the local economy.
With Flagstone being a Priority Development Area designated by the Queensland Government to fast-track the supply of quality, affordable housing in one of South East Queensland’s fastest growing areas, the event allows the local community to gather and celebrate the economic growth and support for local businesses.
Other major award winners praised for making an impact and contributing to the growth of the region are:
• Mondaze Group for the Excellence in Small Business Award
• Onwards and Upwards Flagstone Foodshare for the Community Spirit Excellence Award
Judges for the 2025 awards included State Member for Jordan Charis Mullen MP; Logan City Division 11 Councillor Natalie Willcocks; Logan Regional Chamber of Commerce Treasurer Kerry Menck; and Alex Cameron, Commercial Development Manager for Peet Ltd.
The Awards are an initiative by Australian property developer Peet, supported by the Logan Regional Chamber of Commerce, Flagstone Social Business Network and the Flagstone Tavern.
