Loganholme’s crystal-powered haven for healing

What started as a garage sale for Deborah Toussaint has turned into Queensland’s biggest retail space for tokens of love and light.

Muse Crystals and Mystical Gifts, located in Loganholme, is the manifestation of Deborah’s dreams and passion for healing.

‘Since I was young, I’ve always been fascinated by gems – I’d collect shells and stones at the beach and create mini museums,’ Deborah says.

‘Now this is like my grown-up museum, where our tribe can gather and connect.

‘Our customers are like family – especially during COVID-19 when they couldn’t see their loved ones, people came to us with all sorts of problems.’

The store has an almost otherworldly presence, dimly lit to highlight a range of shimmering minerals and gems. In the corner, an amethyst tree and towering geode sparkles in the dark.

Amethyst, known for its healing properties, is just one of many gems that provide peace to those seeking calm in an increasingly chaotic world.

‘Crystals can help anyone at any stage in life, whether it’s to change a situation or just enhance the look of their home,’ Deborah says.

‘I’ve heard some pretty amazing stories. We had a lady come in who truly believes she didn’t have to amputate her leg because she began soaking them in crystal baths.’

But the store offers more than just crystals and smudge sticks.

‘We also offer tarot card reading, sound healing and breathwork sessions,’ Deborah says.

‘I love that so many like-minded people have connected because I could help them shine their light through this avenue I’ve created.

‘It’s also an amazing location just off the highway, so the community grew like a vortex.’

By June, the store will be accompanied by a bathhouse day spa and retreat next door, featuring crystal-infused spa treatments with healing benefits.
