Terms and Conditions

Eligibility

1. Submissions must be made with the consent of the person whose story is being shared.
2. The person featured must live or work in Logan, or make a meaningful contribution to the Logan community.
3. Logan City Council employees and elected members are not eligible to be featured.

Submission requirements

4. All information provided must be accurate and true to the best of the submitter’s knowledge at the time of submission.
5. Photos must be free of copyright restrictions and submitted with permission from the person featured.
6. Photos should be high-resolution and suitable for publication. Logan City Council may request an alternative image if the original does not meet quality standards.
7. Submitters are responsible for obtaining all necessary permissions for any content provided, including consent from the person featured in the story, rights to use any images submitted, and third-party references or materials.
8. Incomplete, inaccurate or inappropriate submissions may not be considered.

Submission period

9. Submissions are accepted on an ongoing basis.
10. Logan City Council may close, pause or modify the submission process at any time without prior notice.

Consent and permissions

11. By submitting, you confirm you have permission from the person featured to share their story and any associated images.
12. By submitting, you grant Logan City Council the right to use the person’s name, story, and image in any format, media, or platform, now and in the future, for promotional, editorial, or communication purposes without further notice or compensation.
13. Logan City Council may edit, adapt, or shorten stories for clarity and publication.

Selection and publication

14. Logan City Council will review submissions at its discretion.
15. Submission does not guarantee review, selection, publication or follow‑up. Council may choose not to feature any submissions received.
16. Stories selected for potential publication will be those that best reflect the spirit of Logan Legends.
17. Selected stories may be featured on Logan City Council platforms and promotional channels.
18. If your submission is chosen for publication, we will contact you and/or the person featured before sharing the story publicly.
19. Logan City Council may request additional information to verify details and may decline to publish a story if information cannot be confirmed or does not meet community standards.

Community standards

20. Individuals featured must uphold values consistent with Logan City Council’s community standards.
21. Council may withdraw recognition if conduct is later found to be inconsistent with these values.

Council rights

22. Logan City Council reserves the right to modify, suspend or cancel the Logan Legends campaign or story-collection process at any time without prior notice.

Collection notice

23. Logan City Council is collecting your personal information, contact details, story content and any images you provide, for the Logan Legends campaign. If we do not collect this information your submission may not be valid and therefore may not be considered. We may use your information (such as your name, story and images) to create and publish content across Council’s communication channels, including social media, websites and printed materials, and for related promotional activities. Privacy

24. Personal information collected through this form will be handled in accordance with Logan City Council’s privacy policy and used solely for the purposes of the Logan Legends campaign.
25. Personal contact details will not be published.
