Self-care spots in Logan

If you’re looking to relax and reset, it’s easier than ever to pamper yourself in the City of Logan. From just floating in Epsom salt-infused waters to getting the endorphins going in a Pilates class, these are our latest favourites for self-care. Are we missing your go-to spot? Let us know at communications@logan.qld.gov.au.

Salt and Soul

This sanctuary in Jimboomba offers an extensive menu of alternative therapies and is famous for its relaxing salt cave. Himalayan salt is said to naturally detox the body, reduce inflammation and improve respiratory ailments.

168-170 Tamborine Street, Jimboomba

Muse Crystals

Muse Bath House, an expansion to Loganholme institution Muse Crystals and Mystical Gifts, is the spot for self-care rituals. Take a soak in crystal-infused waters, practice presence at the meditation station or try the unique head drizzle massage, where exotic oil is drizzled from a coconut shell onto the scalp – considered sacred in Fijian culture. For those who are a little less adventurous, there’s the aptly named ‘I just want a normal massage’ relaxation massage. On the other side of the spectrum, the chakra recharge and healing ritual even includes a smudging and drumming cleansing ceremony and an oracle card reading.

Inna Essence

This boutique studio offers ‘calming, grounded and loving energy’ and more than 50 classes per week. A collaboration between 2 women with a vision and love for community, you’ll be known by first name here as you nurture your physical and mental wellbeing. Book in for yoga, Reformer pilates, dance barre or one of the monthly sound baths with Marilyn. Sound baths are one of the latest self-care trends, where participants drift into a state of deep relaxation to the sound and vibrations of quartz crystal singing bowls. Read more about owners Anna and Andrea’s philosophy when it comes to self-care in our write-up about Inna Essence.

Nourished Soul Co

It’s never too late to heal from the inside out – just ask Kristy. Not too long ago, she hit rock bottom with an array of health concerns and mental health challenges. She has since built herself back up and supports others on their journey as a holistic integrative nutrition health coach, Reiki master teacher and EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques or Tapping) practitioner. Book in for reiki and energy healing to clear chakras, release blocks and imbalances while healing your mind, body and soul. If you’re looking to regulate your emotions, try a session of EFT, which combines talk therapy with acupressure (which sends calming signals to the stress centre in the brain).
