Tasty Flame festival returns to Jimboomba

The highly anticipated Flame BBQ Street Festival is making a grand return to Jimboomba on Saturday, 21 September, bringing the best in barbecue offerings, beer and family-friendly fun.

Thousands are expected to descend on Jimboomba Park from 3 pm for the City of Logan’s second annual barbecue extravaganza, with free entry for children.

This year’s festival is set to be bigger and better than ever with a packed schedule of performances and activities for all ages.

Barbecue aficionados can look forward to an array of smoky delights, from perfectly pulled pork to barbecue ribs and briskets.

Some of the region’s finest pit masters will be cooking up a storm at this year’s event, including BBQ & Beer Roadshow, Brazzo Boys, Hoy Pinoy and more.

Event MC and Smoking Hot Confessions podcast host Ben Arnot says the event will be a ‘festival for the people’.

‘It’s in our DNA to gather around a fire, share some heat and get along with everybody,’ he says.

‘The Jimboomba Flame Festival is going to just epitomise BBQ culture.’

Community spirit will sizzle this weekend with live cooking demonstrations, eating competitions and fire shows.

‘It’s going to be an absolute cracking evening. I’m going to be MCing the second stage, which is where all the barbecue action is going to be,’ Ben says.

Meanwhile, country and rock artists such as Tennessee Lights and Zac & George will be on the main stage.

There are also dedicated areas for food trucks, market stalls and a kid friendly ‘Fired Up Fun Zone’, featuring a Ferris wheel, super slide, teacup ride, face painting and more.

Kids under 18 years receive free entry and there will be plenty of signed parking available in the area.
