Important Council messages for Logan after cyclone

Following ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred, Logan City Council is urging residents to check for further weather and flood warnings, and to stay updated with messages for residents. 

Council has important and helpful information for residents on the Disaster Dashboard on the Council website. 

The Disaster Dashboard features a Situation Map that includes locations to click on flood watch cameras, locations of road closures and road hazards, and emergency flood warning locations. 

The Dashboard also includes links to information on: 

  • Weather warnings 
  • Power outages 
  • Road hazards 
  • Flood watch cameras

The Council website also has a dedicated page with information and advice for residents at Important information about Tropical Cyclone Alfred – Logan City Council

Information includes Bureau of Meteorology Emergency Warnings, weather updates on Albert River and Logan River levels, and updates on Logan bin collections, waste and recycling facilities. 

There are links to valuable Council information such as: 

  • Disruptions to Council services and events – including customer service centres, immunisation clinics, animal management centre, libraries, leisure centres, museums and galleries. 
  • Wildlife – including finding native animals and snakes. 
  • Support, financial assistance and grants – including community recovery support and personal hardship financial assistance. 
  • Power outages and safety – including using generators, food safety, and internet disruptions.
