Australian Artists Awards Finalists Exhibition

The Australian Artists Awards is Australia’s first artist-judged competition, created to support emerging artists, with $7,000 of prizes in the 2025 show.

In the Australian Artists Awards, the competing artists are the judges, voting in an anonymous system that ensures only the artwork is judged – nothing is known about the artist who created the work until after voting has finished.

First prize: $6,000
Second prize: $1,000 for the artwork with the most votes
Eckersley’s Underwood will be giving a $600 Encouragement award, and there will also be 10 Highly Commended Certificates awarded.

The 50 finalists will be on display at the Able Gallery from September 18-25. Entry to the exhibition is free.
