From grief to good spirits
Charmaine Wilson spent years wracked with emotional pain after great personal loss, yet for the last 20 years she has dedicated to sharing uplifting messages of love with complete strangers … from the spirit realm.
A world-renowned Australian psychic medium, Charmaine has lived through dark decades of grief and addiction following the deaths of her brother in a motorbike accident when she was 17, followed by her 4-year-old daughter and other family members.
Now aged 61, she has reached a semi-retired life of harmony in the town of Stanthorpe with her husband and the 6 donkeys they’ve adopted.
‘When my daughter was killed in a drink driving accident by her father, I was 22 and went off the rails, literally,’ Charmaine explains.
‘But I was woken up, and that’s the best way I can say it – seeing spirits and hearing spirits talking to me at 37-years-old, screaming at me to get off the drugs and start healing so I could focus.’
Her own journey through the years from a devasted young mother to discovering how to activate her clairvoyancy at age 38, has brought Charmaine to believe she was destined to be a spiritual medium to deliver some love and hope from the spirit world.
She will be visiting the Logan Entertainment Centre at Logan Central on 22 March with that intent, where she wants to pass on information to members of the audience who may need to hear from their relatives who have passed away.
Charmaine says many of her spirit messages are to help those still living, deal with the passing of a person who ‘took themselves home’.
‘Spirits do try to communicate, because they really don’t want their people hanging on too long to the element of grief,’ Charmaine says.
Charmaine explains that music and dreams are a way spirits will try to communicate directly with the living, from lucid dreams where ‘you are having a chat’, to dreams where a person who has passed away is present, but just walks away – usually experienced after a death.
‘They say in lucid dreams, those messages need to be remembered and written down for the future,’ Charmaine says.
One element Charmaine is adamant about is that paranormal experiences should never be scary. ‘Spirit communication works with the element of love,’ she says. ‘If I am at a show with an audience, or doing my online readings, there has to be a love connection for a medium to communicate.’
For skeptics, Charmaine understands ‘if it’s not your thing’, but will never be shaken from her own path to connect as many people as she can with messages that help them get through their own lives.
‘What it does is help people understand that we do continue afterwards. Once we transition to spirit, there is another life afterwards and I have had enough evidence, enough validations and moments to have no doubt in my mind that we do continue as an energy form after we leave this earthly bodysuit,’ she says.
‘Spirits communicate to let them know ‘we’ll meet again later’. I want to prove that they’re here, and once you know they’re there, I want to show you how to see when they are there. Then I want you to tell others.’
