'Mane' arena funding for riding club
Equestrian enthusiasts are celebrating news of funding for new facilities at North Maclean.
Members of the Park Ridge Active Riding Group (PRARG) will have more opportunities to train and compete thanks to a new $520,000 arena planned for Skerman Park.
PRARG President Kay Paulsen says the arena has been on the club’s wish-list for a long time.
‘It’s exciting times ahead,’ Kay says.
The facility will be jointly funded by the Queensland Government’s Minor Infrastructure and Inclusive Facilities Funding and Logan City Council, including $50,000 from the Division 11 Local Infrastructure Program.
PRARG members participate in clinics and competitions for dressage, show jumping and hack.

The new playground also includes a 3-bay swing set featuring a flat swing, a toddler swing and a wide basket swing.
Children can also go ‘shopping’ in the park, at a new corner store play panel.
