Choose the gift of life this Christmas

City of Logan residents can help save a life this Christmas by donating to Australian Red Cross Lifeblood.

Australia’s newest donation centre now operates on Barbaralla Drive at Springwood.

Staff there expect to receive more than 22,000 donations over the next year.

As a former intensive care nurse, Councillor Lisa Bradley has seen firsthand the positive benefits of donating and strongly encourages people to visit the centre and donate blood and plasma ahead of the festive season.

‘Christmas can be a challenging time for Lifeblood with many regular donors unavailable, so we encourage all those who can to roll up their sleeves and donate,’ she says.

‘The need for blood and blood products never stops and donating only takes an hour of your time but it means a lot to all those it helps.’
