The very model of a modern club
The members of the Logan Model Engineering Society tend to be people who are very good with their hands.
But now they’re the ones that need a hand, with more members required to keep the club operating.
The model engineers are probably best known for the model trains at Woodridge’s Ewing Park, which have delighted children for decades.
Committee member, David Smith, says the society is looking for enthusiastic people to join the club.
“The fun part is the fraternity of it,” Mr Smith says.
“We operate from Ewing Park but have a shed out at Logan Village, where we teach members the art of miniature trains. We have people of all ages, employment
and backgrounds who love learning different parts of the process.”
Logan Model Engineering Society runs train rides at Ewing Park on the second and fourth Sunday of the month, 11 am–3 pm.
