New playground offers adventures and fun

Anew adventure playground has opened at Stoneleigh Reserve Park, offering new play experiences for the young and young-at-heart.

Councillor Jacob Heremaia says the project is a welcome addition to the Logan Reserve precinct.

‘Logan Reserve is one of the fastest-growing suburbs in the City of Logan, so it’s important we provide the right facilities to meet community needs,’ Cr Heremaia says.

‘Young families moving to the area definitely appreciate well-designed and interesting parks, and I’m pleased to say this one ticks all the boxes!’

Visitors to the park can enjoy the new 2-storey playground, additional swings, a play water pump and a basketball half-court.

Cr Heremaia says the improvements complement the park’s natural surroundings.

‘It’s going to be well-used and a much-loved place to visit in the area,’ he says.

‘We held a community launch on Saturday, 20 August, which was a great success.’

Stoneleigh Reserve Park is at 13–25 Stoneleigh Reserve Boulevard, Logan Reserve.
