Donations bring Christmas joy
Council supports Salvation Army Christmas Appeal
City of Logan families who have done it tough this year will enjoy a cheerier Christmas thanks to the generosity of Logan City Council staff and the Logan Water Partnership.
A mountain of food, toys and other gifts were this week donated to the Salvation Army’s annual Christmas appeal.
Captain Anthony Hunt, from the Salvation Army Logan, said the donation was a “huge blessing” for the local community.
“It means more local families will be able to celebrate Christmas the way they like,” Captain Hunt said.
“Donations like this demonstrate how the community helps us help the community.”

Acting Chief Executive Officer Silvio Trinca said Council employees had proudly supported the appeal for almost 20 years.
“Our organisation exists to make day-to-day life in the City of Logan better by providing community services and infrastructure,” Mr Trinca said.
“You really get a sense of how caring and dedicated to the community our team is when you see how much has been left under the tree.
“The Salvos do a wonderful job in supporting those in need and I encourage others to get behind the appeal as well.”
Donations for the Logan Salvation Army Christmas Appeal can still be made until December 21.
Non-perishable food and gifts can be donated at The Family Place, 35A North Rd, Woodridge. Gifts for teenagers would be particularly welcomed.
