'Nature' playground plans

A new adventure playground is in the works for Boronia Bushland Reserve.

The $1 million project is jointly funded through the Division 7 Local Infrastructure Program and Council’s Major Parks Program.

Currently in design, the nature-inspired play tower upgrade will be suitable for explorers of all ages, accompanied by multiple slides, bridges and a life-sized sculpture of an eastern grey kangaroo – which is a nod to the area’s local kangaroo population.

Other upgrades for Boronia Bushland Reserve include accessible picnic settings and shelters, a bush walk to the entry road and fresh paint updates to the entry road.

The timeline for completion is yet to be finalised.
