Happy dogs at Meakin Park

Dog owners no longer need to hit ‘paws’ on their pet’s bad behaviour.

The opportunity to build a strong, loving connection with your pooch is available through weekly programs for animals and their  masters at Slacks Creek.

Pawsitive Connection classes are on every Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm at Logan Hockey Club in Meakin Park.

The program includes dog behaviour classes as well as scent games and agility exercises for humans and their four-legged friends.

Councillor Mindy Russell urges anyone with a dog to get involved.

‘Those who run Pawsitive Connection have a wealth of experience,’ she says.

Cr Russell says she was happy to help the organisation find a new home base to conduct their weekly programs.

‘I am glad these classes have continued to go from strength to strength since,’ she says.

‘I would encourage anyone with a pooch to get in contact with the Pawsitive Connection people.’
