New life for local park

Mikaga Park, nestled between Nyanza Street and North Road, is a tucked-away Woodridge playground with swings, a carousel and a play fort.

The park is ideal for ball games and other fun activities.

An improvement project for the park, thanks to Division 2 Local Infrastructure Program funding, it’s helping to breathe new life into this wonderful community space.

The upgrade, which includes a water bubbler and shade trees, will ensure Mikaga Park can be enjoyed by local families for years to come.

Division 2 Councillor Teresa Lane says summer and the holiday period is an ideal time to get outside.

‘I encourage everyone to take the family out to enjoy the upgrades to local parks across Division 2 and surrounds,’ she says.
