Logan's first dedicated youth space

It’s not too long now until Logan’s young people will have access to the city’s first dedicated youth space.

Construction started on the Wilbur Street Youth Centre in October last year.

It’s located in the building next to Logan Central Library, with redevelopment expected to be completed in June 2024.

The centre will be fitted out for locals aged 12 to 24 years.

The centre’s design is based on feedback given by young people through community engagement activities in 2021.

The facility will include:

› a youth space
› indoor playing courts
› a First Nations space
› technology room
› maker space/multipurpose room
› rehearsal/recording studio.

It will also have a commercial kitchen, laundry and office space.

The project is a partnership between 3 levels of government:

› Logan City Council: $2.1 million
› Queensland Government: $2.02 million
› Australian Government: $840,000
