Play time in Division 2

Tucked away at the rear of a leafy park at 35A North Road, Woodridge, The Family Place community centre is a local family favourite.
The centre is run by the Salvation Army, where parents can bring their children to explore, play and create – and it’s free.
Division 2 Councillor Teresa Lane says that from Messy Play Mondays to creative craft with nature and risk play, The Family Place provides a healthy environment for children to explore and for parents to participate in the fun.
‘From chickens to forts, tractor tyre play areas to an old Queensland Rail train, if you’re a parent looking for great programs to access for your toddler, there’s something for young children of all abilities to enjoy,’ Cr Lane says.
‘As part of our commitment to funding great local initiatives, Council has funded a water pump play area through the Community Benefit Fund.
‘Kids love using the recycled waterfeature which will last a long time – so thanks Division 2 residents!’
